Homecoming was a 2021 senior thesis installation consisting of paper-cut stop-motion animations projected continuously onto wooden sculptures. All animations were created using paper cut by hand and assembled in Dragonframe.
Materials: exacto knife, laptop, projector, wood, paint.
About: 9 animations inspired by folklore and legends that question the sanctity and safety of the home. Imagery was pulled from Carl Jung’s theory of the collective subconscious in a search for universal motifs that felt innately tied to the home - whether they render it a site of comfort, or of danger.
